A pretty little necklace made with a tiny fossil Crinoid stem
The necklace is made with a custom made sterling silver setting
The Crinoids are Jurassic in age and were collected in France ans date from around 170 Million Years ago
Crinoids are an aquatic animal also known as Sea Lilies
They look a little like flowers in appearance and sit on the seabed with a long stem sticking up and a flowery appendage on the top that they use to catch small fragments of food
Crinoids still exist today in various forms but these are from an ancient species.
The necklace measures 1cm wide - and is strung from an 18 inch sterling silver curb chain.
Boxed in a lovely velvet lined jewellery box and labelled and gift wrapped in tissue paper.
The jewellery presentation has been greatly improved and as well as being presented in a labelled, velvet lined box it will sent in an embossed presentation box, beautifully wrapped in tissue paper
