This is a super little boxed  set of fragments from the classic meteorite fall - ALLENDE

The Allende meteorite is the largest Carbonaceous Chondrite ever found on Earth. The fireball was witnessed at 1:05 a.m. on Febraury 8th, 1069, falling over the Mexican of Chihuaha.
There are 3 specimens weighing a total of 7 milligrams ( measuring 1-2mm across)
 boxed in a protective padded gem jar.
These are only small fragments but are VERY rare, genuine and guaranteed with a signed certificate of authenticity
The samples come from a research environment and have never been handled with bare hands at any point since they were found.

It is often described as "the best-studied meteorite in history," largely due to the fact that the massive, primitive meteorite fell at a time when the field of planetary science was growing and developing instrumentation for the return of moon rocks by the Apollo program

The Allende meteorite is notable for possessing abundant, large Calcium Aluminium Rich Inclusions, which are among the oldest objects formed in the Solar System

A truly unique piece of jewellery and one I challenge you to find elsewhere!

A pair of beautifully cut and polished cabochons of Dinosaur Bone have been mounted on silver plated cufflinks.

While you would expect dinosaur bone to be a dull brown or grey while it has been buried in the ground for Millions of years it has absorbed chemicals from the rocks and taken on the most incredible red  and brown colouration.

BOXED AND LABELLED

This is a polished endcut from a genuine unclassified ordinary Chondrite.

The stone has basically been sliced in half and the cut face polished beautifully, revealing the ferrous nickel flakes within the stone meteorite.
These are one of the things that set it apart from Terrestrial rocks, along with the presence of Chondrules - amazing and little understood balls that appear within the matrix of the meteorite itself.


The meteorite is unclassified which means it hasn't been given an official meteorite number but this doesn't mean it isn't a genuine and vauable meteorite. I guarantee every meteorite I sell for life and you will receive a signed certificate of authenticity as well as an A4 full colour meteorite information sheet. This is an ideal introduction to the amazing world of metorite collecting and would make a GREAT gift for any astronomy or natural history fan!

This is a relatively common meteorite but the strewnfields are beginning to run out so these are an affordable way to add a good sized meteorite to your collection.They're also bound to appreciate in value over time!

The matrix easily splits open revealing the most beautiful and totally complete Trilobite inside.

It has become slightly contorted on the matrix but is VERY rare, and very beautiful

This is a super new item.
It is an Iguanodon Dinosaur rib bone.

Collected on the Isle Of Wight.

This is a lovely bone, measuring 12.5cm in length.
As is very common with these fragile bones, there has been a little restoration and a couple of breaks in the bone have been reglued.
I hope this isnt a big issue to you and I am not asking a fortune for this amazing piece of UK natural history.

A super artifact!

This is a super little necklace.
It is crafted in solid silver  and molded on a real fossil Lemon Shark tooth.

This is an item that I have been trying to source for several years.
When the offer finally came I was really excited at having it to offer my customers.

Iridium really is one of the rarest elements on Earth
Less than 30 tonnes of it are mined every year -making it MUCH rarer than Diamonds or gold.

The interesting link to both fossils AND meteorites is that while Iridium is incredibly rare on Earth - it is 50 times more common in meteorites.
The presence in the ground of Iridium was one of the things that helped identify the meteorite impact that is thought to have wiped out the Dinosaurs 65 Million Years ago.
( check out my KT Boundary samples as these are from that very layer!)

This is only a small sample - and contains a gem jar of tiny fragments of Iridium weighing a total of 30 Milligrams sealed in a gem jar

This is a fragment of the meteorite - NWA 3140
It was found in Morocco in 2004.

This is a VERY rare type of meteorite.
One of the interesting aspects of a Ureilite is that it is an incredibly hard substance.
Meteorite dealers trying to cut Ureilites have often given up in disgust as they can end up with floor filled with broken saw blades.
Due to the huge forces the meteorite has been subject to in its traumatic existence it sometimes ends up with tiny nano- diamonds in the matrix. It is these tiny diamonds that helps destroy the blades!

A Ureilite is a rare type of stony meteorite that has a unique mineralogical composition very different from that of other stony meteorites. This dark grey or brownish meteorite type is named after the village Novy Urey , Mordovia Republic of Russia, where a meteorite of this type fell on 4 September 1886.

You will receive a signed certificate of authenticity as well as an A4 full colour meteorite information sheet.

This is a super piece of jewellery and while new to the webshop has been a great seller at craft shows for a few years now!

It is made with a lovely polished piece of Paua shell from new Zealand.
Also know as Abalone by some this is an exquisite material with a rainbow of shimering colours and patterns .
These shells are not fossils but modern shells and are picked off many beaches in New Zealand.

The Paua shell section measures 4cm top to bottom and has a row  of intriguing natural holes running top to bottom

This is a beautiful Sikhote Alin Meteorite.
The Sikhote Alin fall in Siberia 1947 was a huge and devastating impact and left a huge number of beautiful iron meteorites behind.

There is a rapidly dwindling supply of these legendary meteorites. I have been many months before finding a new supply and these aren't expected to last long. Snap one up now - while you still can!

This is a lovely fragment recovered from the site - and is packed with character. When holding it you will find it very easy to imagine the huge forces that must have accompaned the fireball as it entered Earth's atmosphere then collided with the Siberian forest! 
Many fragments were even found embedded in trees..!!

This is a super little pair of solid silver earrings - set with two small Madagascan Ammonite Slices.
They are mounted along with a piece of shimmering shell, and a round faceted crystal.

The Ammonite slices measure 1.4cm and the full earring setting is 3cm ( minus the silver hook fitting)
