Imagine being able to touch the skin of a dinosaur that walked the Earth 66 million years ago.
This extraordinary sterling silver necklace faithfully captures the authentic surface texture of an Edmontosaurus dinosaur using an impression taken from a museum-quality cast of genuine fossil dinosaur skin. Because the cast was created directly from the original fossil, it preserves the intricate scales and textures of the dinosaur's skin in remarkable detail.
The original fossil came from an Edmontosaurus, a duck-billed dinosaur discovered in the legendary Hell Creek Formation of North Dakota, USA. This world-famous fossil locality has also yielded iconic dinosaurs including Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops.
Every time you run your finger across the pendant, you're experiencing the authentic skin texture of one of the last dinosaurs to roam the Earth before the mass extinction.
To the best of my knowledge, I have been unable to find another piece of jewellery like this available anywhere in the world. It is a truly original design, created for people who love dinosaurs, fossils and natural history.
The pendant is individually handcrafted by me from solid sterling silver, measures approximately 2.4cm from top to bottom, and is supplied on an 18-inch sterling silver curb chain.
