GENUINE CAMPO DEL CIELO IRON METEORITE – APPROXIMATELY 5–10 GRAMS
Own a genuine piece of outer space!
This fascinating specimen is a genuine Campo del Cielo iron meteorite, discovered in Argentina, South America.
These extraordinary meteorites originated from the metallic core of an ancient asteroid that formed billions of years ago, during the early history of our Solar System.
A PIECE OF THE EARLY SOLAR SYSTEM
Campo del Cielo is one of the world's most famous meteorites.
Composed primarily of iron and nickel, these remarkable metallic fragments are believed to have originated deep within an ancient asteroid that was broken apart by a colossal collision in space.
The meteorite eventually entered Earth's atmosphere approximately 4,000–5,000 years ago, breaking into numerous fragments that scattered across a large area of what is now northern Argentina.
To own a genuine Campo del Cielo meteorite is to own an extraordinary fragment of cosmic history!
DISCOVERED IN ARGENTINA
The Campo del Cielo meteorite field is located in the provinces of Chaco and Santiago del Estero in Argentina.
Its name translates as "Field of Heaven", a wonderfully appropriate name for a place where pieces of the heavens fell to Earth.
The meteorite is classified as an IAB-MG iron meteorite and is famous for its distinctive metallic appearance, irregular shapes and fascinating natural surface textures.
