A striking etched iron meteorite star pendant, made using a genuine slice of iron meteorite and supplied on a sterling silver chain.
The meteorite has been carefully cut and acid etched to reveal the internal crystalline structure known as the Widmanstätten pattern — a unique geometric pattern formed as iron meteorites cool extremely slowly in space.
This pendant is made from the Aletai meteorite, a large iron meteorite discovered in China in 1898. Each piece displays its own natural pattern, meaning no two pendants are ever identical.
The etched meteorite has been set into a star-shaped design, combining a classic celestial form with genuine extraterrestrial material.
The pendant measures approximately 2cm across and 2 mm thick and is supplied on an 18 inch sterling silver chain, creating a bold and distinctive piece of space jewellery.
The surface has been treated to help protect it from moisture, although it is best kept dry when not being worn.
